I am so excited about being a part of a 3 person show at Muriel Guepin Gallery in New York City in December. Having a gallery show in a lower east side gallery would be a gift enough but the cherry on top is the artist with whom I’m exhibiting.
I’d never heard of Nathan Vincent until Muriel showed me his work, but now I’m obsessed. His crochets are hilarious, beautifully executed and wonderful statements on male stereotypes.
The other artist is Iviva Olenick who’s embroideries makes simple almost postcard-like personal statements.
The show will open Friday December 13 and continue through January 19. I’ll be there for the opening, along with various family members, so please, if you’re in the area come by! I would love to see old friends and meet new one! Muriél Guepin is located on lower East Side at 83 Orchard Street.
Below are examples of Vincent’s work. Go to his website to see more.
